Literary Ashland

What is Literary Ashland? With a dozen book stores, more than a hundred book groups, and ties to two poets laureate, Ashland is the literary capital of southern Oregon.  There’s Southern Oregon University, Blackstone Audio, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and the Ashland Independent Film Festival.  There’s Chautauqua Poets and Writers, Jackson County Reads and Ashland Mystery. And there’s a book and writing culture that extends throughout southwest Oregon–from Klamath Falls to Gold Beach.  Literary Ashland is an occasional blog where you’ll find interviews, news, commentary and posts from writers and writing students as we practice our craft.
